More prayers for Little Max - Update 8/6

Post by LabLover »

Hi Everyone,

Sorry but this is so hard for me to write, so excuse ramble but feel I need to give an update with the kind and postive thoughts you continue for our beloved Max and also Zak.

Eventually Liverpool took Max late Friday evening after our vet tried other specialist hospitals with no avail. Scans showed although no obstruction there was blockage in his intestines which they put down to foreign bodies and would re scan Sunday. Again Sunday it was put down to foreign bodies yet I knew with how careful we are couldn't understand what Max could have eaten. In the end they let us bring Max home late Sunday evening and said they would re scan him Wednesday to see if the foreign bodies had moved.

Yesterday following further scans Liverpool apologised to us and said it's not foreign bodies in his intestines but polyps which they have never come across before especially in the intestine and so unusal.

A polyp in Max intestines is what caused his tummy to intussusception last time and was told then by a specialist it was so unusal to find a polyp in the intestines and that he was so unlucky so can you believe it's happened again, also as it is major surgery and those on the forum at the time may remember Max nearly died.

Even though Liverpool can't do surgery until tomorrow they admitted Max immediately again yesterday following there findings as his tummy could intussusception at anytime and if it did they would then do emergency surgery. Max will under major surgery tomorrow but won't be out of the woods until 5 days after surgery even if his tummy doesn't intussusception as like before due to the operation there could be leakage which happened before plus he's prone to perinteitus.

Please can you pray and keep our brave little fighter in your prayers and thoughts as he really does need every postive and healing thoughts going..

Zak also needs continued postive thoughts even though he's doing well with chemo each week and tests today have shown improvement we know it's still borrowed time but so long as he has quality of life we will continue weekly chemo.

As you can imagine no words can express the way we feel and can only ask people continue to pray and send postive thoughts to both our beloved boys who our life and world.

Love

I've been checking for updates every day Amanda, and can imagine how difficult it must have been for you to post. I'm glad you've found the strength to let us know things are, because so many of us are thinking about Max and keeping everything crossed that he's ok.

I'll be thinking about you all over the next few days, and pray hard that Max pulls through. He's a tough little cookie - he's come through so much, and we all hope that he pulls through again. Try and keep positive. He has age on his side.

It's good to know that Zak is doing well. As long as he's happy and feeling well, that's all will matter to him.

It's a tough time, but we're all here for you and fully understand what you're going through.

Big hugs to you all, and remember to take care of yourself too, :bighug: :bighug:

Aw Amanda and Jim,

Lovely to see you both yesterday, shame about the circumstances though, so,pleased zacis showing improvement with chemo and long may it continue, like you say as long as he's happy, got quality and coping well, then good on him, he is always on our minds. :bighug: for him.

It goes without saying how much Little Max and yourselves are in our hearts today, no words really just hope today's op goes well and post op. :bighug: for the brave soldier.

:bighug: :bighug: for you both aswell, don't feel pressure to update until you feel ready. Xxxx

It goes without saying, we will keep bucket loads of healing and positive thoughts winging their way for Little Max and Zac. What a horrible rollercoaster ride.

I think Marge put it in a nutshell.

Thanks for the update. Stay strong and positive. :bighug:

Everything here crossed for Little Max today, sending him every possible positive and healing thought too. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Amanda and Jim as I know how much he means to you, he's always been a fighter so everyone who knows him will be willing him to come through the op and post op period well and praying that he will soon be back home with you to recuperate.

I'm pleased to read that Zak is doing better on the chemo and send him positive and healing thoughts that this continues.

You really have had everything thrown at you in the past year and just want you to know that we are all thinking of you. :love3: take care of yourselves too :love3:

Oh Amanda, it must indeed have been really difficult for you to update us and my heart goes out to you, it really does.
There aren't the words that will bring you much comfort right now but know that we're thinking of you all, sending tons of positive healing thoughts for little Max and will continue to do so, and to Zak too.
