Heads up to avoid a sad ending
A friend of mine lost her Weimaraner Bronte at 4a.m. this morning.
When I heard this, I was, as she is, devastated.
Despite coping well with cancer and doing well, she fell off the bed this morning and broke her neck.
I know many of you let your dogs sleep with you, although I'm not one, and I just thought it advisable to let you all know that this sort of freak accident can happen.
Poor Bronte was only eight years old and my thoughts are with her owners, as she was their baby.
Rest in peace at the bridge dear Bronte, I'm sure Scooby, your friend, will greet you with open paws.

Re: Heads up to avoid a sad ending
Thanks LIns. What a sad story, and I'm so sorry for your friend.
Must admit, we let our two sleep on the bed and I know we shouldn't. It's their Dad's fault!
I'll be thinking very seriously about this.

How sad RIP Bronte thinking of her poor family this morning
I don't let my two go upstairs as it's not good for joints but they will jump on the couch and sleep when they get the chance
Run free sweet Bronte
