We know we all like happy gate updates
Hi to the Labrador rescue team,
We just wanted to update you about Benny... adopted as 'Bengy' last month.
We originally visited the rescue having had adopted Lewis, our family Labrador, from you some 8 years ago. Now moved out with my fiancé and wishing to have a dog of our own, we contacted you. We had initially visited to meet another young boy but saw Bennys eyes peering at us through the kennels door. He came home with us that very same day.
Benny came to us a quite and shy boy who struggled with anxiety. We had a tough few first weeks together learning his needs and trying to teach him new skills to help him be the wonderful dog he is now becoming. He struggled with us even being out of the room initially and had little to no understanding of how to behave on a lead or how to socialise with other dogs.
We are so proud of how he has come along in just 4 short weeks. With some consistent training and bucket loads of love and cuddles he has settled in wonderfully and made our house a home. It's amazing to see him become such a happy and anxiety free dog.
We would like to say a big thank you to you all for finding us our lovely boy Benny. I believe it was meant to be we visited that day and saw him there. He has completely been the missing part to our family.
Thank you for all the work you do for all those other lovely (and albeit slightly mad!) labradors. They all deserve their happy ending!!
Myself, Matthew and Benny will forever be grateful to you, Best wishes Emily Clark
Some 'proud parent' pictures of Benny, please feel free to use any.
