On our walk this morning, what came out of the woods about 50 yards ahead of us but 3 deer.
Molly, Dave and I looked at each other and the two hoomans cracked out laughing, both of us having the same thought. Guess who sprung to mind. You guessed....it was Gorgeous George. Molly is now too old to chase so, we all watched the deer walk off into the woods on the other side of the track and Molly spent the next 10 minutes sniffing their tracks.
The memory of Gorgeous George kept us amused for the rest of the walk. Thanks GG.

So pleased to read your post Lins, it made me smile reading it. He was such a huge character and we miss him so much but we talk about him all the time and remembering his antics always makes us smile. When we walk in Fermyn Woods Country Park where he had his "epic" adventure we nearly always see deer and we always end up laughing, remembering how we all split up and ran round the Park and surrounding fields for 5 hrs, no food or water as he was off chasing deer!! My son found him after a tip off near to where he'd cleared off but he was walking down the middle of a single track road absolutely exhausted.
I've got so many memories of the absolutely hilarious things he got up to, I think I could write a book, it would make any lab lover laugh

They Broke the mold with Gorgeous George. Antics brilliant. I would love to have been there when Molly came upon the deer.
