A bittersweet update on Daisy and pups story

Thought I would give you an update re Daisy and the pups. Sorry they are few and far between. I just haven't had the time or the answers but I can now update you with things so far.
We had limited options for more tests. We opted for a blood test. If the results came back raised it would mean they had a heart condition. If it came back normal it wouldn't mean they were ok Sadly Bunty's results came back very raised and vets confirmed she has a very short life expectancy Bensons results came back as normal.
Unfortunately the pups can't have a cardiologists scan until they are 6mths old and the vets didn't think they would be able to see much on their own scanner. But they have a locum vet with them and she wants to be a cardiologist. So my vets offered us freee scans with the locum to see what they could see.
As we knew Bunty's heart isn't good at all. Her heart isn't pumping enough blood round her body so everything has to work a bit harder - she isn't 'ill' or 'sickly'! She has been prescribed meds to help her heart work better and meds to help lift any fluid that may build up.
Bensons heart looks to be in the high end of normal - not quite going to abnormal but with the knowledge that regular testing will need to be done - for which the result will support him.
With all this information in place and passed on it was finally time for benson to go to his new home and become the Arthur he's been waiting to be. An amazing home that has supported him from day one Bunty will remain with the Crabi ( Craig Abi ) gang. We don't know how long she will live and we know there is more heartache ahead but we feel it is best for her to stay here and live out her days
Daisy has grown in character confidence and personality daily and it was her time to fly the nest also. Beautifully Daisy has gone to live with a fabulous couple who were going to adopt one of the pups originally. This just melts my hearts for many reasons.
She is doing really well and settling very well. She's still shy and can be nervous out and about but they love her to bits and will help her grow in confidence everyday.
I personally want to thank everyone for the generosity and support. It overwhelms me how much we all pull together when needed and for that I thank you xxx

We have all the way through as a rescue been totally committed to do all we can for this little family from day one picking up the very pregnant Daisy the first initial excitement then sadness that all was not well Abi and Craig have gone the extra mile often leaving the house with a poorly pup to the vets in the middle of the night all times in the day they never wavered or gave up hope I am proud of them them and love them so much.
.
When first two puppies died they were to be buried in our spot where roses grow all in memory of past dogs some ours some rescues I got a shoe box out for the two pups but when I saw them they were big chunky beautiful perfect puppies many tears were flowing at the sheer unfairness of it all and the not knowing why at the time.
If one thing has been learned by this is we have a very special support network for our rescue we are humbled by the kindness of people , friends both personal and of rescue sadly for a while we ran out of MKF Magic so its seemed , so please pray for the two remaining Babies and for the brave people in their story xx

Thank You so much for taking the time to share this. My heart breaks to see the gorgeous two babies and to know that at least one of them probably won't make adulthood. I know that you have all been through so much with the other babies as well. My heart breaks just seeing how cute they look and imagining how much fun they must be, and how cuddly they will be and that unique and melt your heart puppy smell as you hold their soft little faces to your nose. And if that's how sad and sentimental I can feel not ever having met these babies, I can only begin to imagine how many tears you folks must have shed and how broken your hearts must be.

THANK YOU to everyone who has loved and cared for them. THANK YOU to Daisy's new family. THANK YOU to Benson/Arthur's new family. THANK YOU Abi and gang for continuing to care for Bunty.

:bighug: :bravo: :1951:

Loads of love to you all

Jane and Lily

I've tried several times to write a reply, Glenys, but it breaks my heart to think of those dear little pups and Abi and Craig's roller coaster ride. So I'll just say that Jane has said everything I'm thinking and send my prayers and love to everyone at Rescue for all you've done for this little family.

Like Joan I've been thinking all day what to write , as this is such a heartbreaking journey for all involved especially for Abi and Craig who have gone the extra mile with everything they have done to help save this little family. They must be devastated and their dedication shines through by keeping Bunty knowing the poor little baby will have a limited life span but the time she has we know she will know nothing other than what it's like to be loved and cherished.

Think Jane also has said everything and we also send our love to you all and thank you for everything you have done trying to save this little family :bighug:

I really struggle to find words to add because I know that none will really bring comfort to you all,
Thank-you for doing what you do, and do so very well,

I too feel the same as those who have commented above. I could not express myself any better than them so please know I echo their thoughts and feelings. I have been without suitable internet/computer for a while so am catching up hence my lateness in commenting.
