Lily on holiday in Anglesey

Post by Jane267 »

Hi everyone

I'm just home from a wonderful holiday at Moelfre in Anglesey. We stayed here:-

I had a fabulous time. We went to Aberlleiniog Castle and had a great walk. I really enjoyed jumping in and out of the river, as all my water stops at home have dried up, so I behaved like I had never seen water before!

We also went to Cable Bay. Mummy wanted to see an ancient burial mound - well that was rubbish, but the beach right by it was fantastic! I really enjoyed swimming in the sea.

And we had a day at South Stack. Mummy wanted to do some geocaching which was fine by me because it meant a 5 mile circular walk. But I was very glad that I had my cooling coat on which was admired by several people that we met.

What a great time. I can't wait for the next holiday.

No No. The river Mersey is still fine, as is the river Dee!

My usual walks go through National Trust Woodland and the stream there regularly dries up over the Summer, but this year it dried up much earlier than normal. It also has some lovely boggy bits, which have deep pools, but these are bone dry and cracking too. I am having to get my drinks from the cattle troughs!

Lovely photos great to hear you had a fabulous time too. What a fantastic idea the cooling coat is, did it work? Millie has been really fed up in this heat & ive been contemplating buying one. A mat would be no good as I doubt she'd sit on it. Hope you don't have to wait long for your next holiday

The cooling coat is absolutely brilliant. Makes a massive difference. I would thoroughly recommend one.
