Hmmm! Me thinks MKF will be like the stable in Bethlehem again soon.

The usual post Christmas intake. Oh dear.

I always feel that one of the saddest aspects of the Christmas/ puppy farming is the Mums themselves. Many puppies thankfully find good homes, though certainly not all of them. However, the plight of the Mums is terrible in many cases. Many are kept in such awful conditions in order to please the Christmas present market. It's just so sad, and I wonder if we have some Mums coming to MKF. Whatever dogs may arrive, at least they will be coming to a safe haven.

Right then folks - thanks for your patience -

The web page is : http://www.homealabrador.net/pups.php

This is the story of our latest mission..!

I will also be creating a section on the forum in the next day or two so that Carol and Sue can add their own updates and photos etc.

This will be an ongoing feature for the next 2 - 3 months - updates etc will be added on a regular basis.

What was the man thinking? 4 puppies for presents :2012: Not small dogs either. We all know what it costs to keep a Labrador in good food and with plenty of walkies. If it's not hard work, you aren't doing it right.

I keep on telling folks that these dogs don't come "ready made".

A cheque will be in the post as soon as poss to hopefully assist in some small way towards costs.

Thanks to Carol for taking care of Gracie and to Sue taking care of Rose. :s19:

It is possible that Fudge could be the father but as the dogs were allowed to run free we have no way of knowing for sure.

Despite their current situation, all the dogs are in excellent condition with good temperament - but will definately need some work with the training side -

Once we have had a little time to make a proper assessment fudge, and depending on scan results storm will be needing a new home- we will post more information about them once we have had time to make proper assessments

OMG!!!!!!!!! I can't believe I have just read this! My question was also is Fudge the Dad of the pups. How totally irresponsible buying 4 in the first place; i'm lost for words as are a lot of other people I imagine.

I'm so glad they have come to MKF, the best place if ever there was one.

A donation towards their costs will be on it's way

I cannot thank Carol and Sue enough for taking the girls Sue will be taking Rose after the scan so we can see how far on she is Gracie is imminent.
Carol has taken the whelping pen and lots of stuff its not easy whelping puppies no sleep and 24 hour care.
All the dogs are gorgeous anyone would be proud to have them but right now they need us .
We will update as things happen.
We do not know which is the father but it will be a Labrador and Fudge may not be the brother there is no saying they are littermates just that four pups were bought.
We need a loving home for Fudge now and then storm when she is spayed.

This now becomes the busiest time ever so thank you for everyone who supports us all year .

Who on earth would buy four puppies - a mindless idiot that's who!!

Thank god the breeder took them back and contacted the rescue, the good news now is that they are in the right place and from now on their lives begin - they will now know what it is liked to be loved in a loving home - that will be guaranteed.

Glenys, as always you have our support. Thank god you and the team are there for these babies.

Love Michelle X

Can't add to the comments as already been said - but will say that the action of the Rescue over this comes as no surprise. What happens to the dogs that do not have access to such fab care... scares me to think about it.
