Weaning has begun!!

Gracie`s pups are now ready for weaning Here are a few pics showing them enjoying their first meal
This is an important step for Gracie as it means she can now take less responsibility for the pups and slowly hand them over to me Bless her, she has been so good as she is little more than a pup herself.




Aren`t they doing well, just the odd paw in the dish so far.

Seeing them from above all tucking in makes you realise what a big job looking after newborns is!! Hope your enjoying it - and that Gracie gets to have a bit of R&R now that weaning is well on the way!

Oh they are just so dinky and adorable, I love the way they are all tucking into their communal dinner!! So pleased beautiful Grace gets to have a little puppy respite! Is it me or is little choc pup the biggest of the lot?

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly they grow, really fascinating. Is mum a big girl? I expect they really will grow incredibly fast now. You really are doing a fab job Carol!

The choc girl (nick named Galaxy!) is the second biggest. The first born ( Gerald!) is actually the biggest. They don`t all have names but when they were being born Sue decided we would name them all with a G after their Mum. We soon became quite tired and preoccupied to name all 8 and of course we are not to get too attached

Gracie has done so well with them and so have you Carol, big thanks for all your hard work in giving these pups such a great start in life - it could have been such a different story!

They started on weetabix and puppy milk but tonight have progressed onto puppy meal soaked in puppy milk. I`m sure they have grown overnight since starting on solids!!
