Here is a poem that my husband wrote in memory of our lovely black lab Meg that was PTS on 29/03/06 at the age of 6.We miss her so much even though we have 3 other dogs we love.She was my little angel.

Meg

You kept us laughing.
You made us smile.
Your life was brief.
But so worthwhile.
Your kisses we miss,
And your bright shining eyes.
We miss being with you.
And get lonely as time goes by.
We talked about the day.
We'd say goodbye.
But too soon it came.
Like the blink of an eye.
I felt your last heart beat
When Bob put you to sleep
Our love for you was Oh so deep.
There's a hole in our hearts
And it gently weeps.
For we still call your name
When handing out treats.
When the day comes we’ll all once again meet
On Rainbow bridge I dare say
We both can’t wait for that day.
To see our dearly departed Meg once more play.

Thanks for that Di.Paul is no poet but i thought thats my Meg.She was such a good girl i know people always say that you should never leave a dog with a child but with Meg i trusted her 100% with emily.She never growled once at her even on her really bad days.We miss her so much.
