Never Forgotten
And so I grieve for you my friend
Your too short life is at an end
The numbness that I felt that day
My friends assured will go away
Things will change in a little while
When thoughts of him will make me smile
Happy thoughts of puppy days
Pleasing me in so many ways
Digging plants and pulling up shrubs
Fetching gifts like worms and GRUBS
Chewing shoes and remote controls
Filling the lawn with massive holes
A life in tune with my every will
Then the house seemed very still
I sensed I heard you at the door
Padding in across the floor
Angels guide you now my friend
I felt them near at the very end
They said to you its time to go
To the place where good dogs go
My heart ,then it was torn in two
To have to say goodbye to you
I’m hoping you will wait some where
And I can come and find you there.
There is a price to pay for love
All in equal measure
You gladly pay the price in full
For such memories to treasure.
Snuggle each day in Angels wings
Surrounded by their love
And you can play with Angel toys
For the rainbow bridge is full of love

Just when you think you have got over the loss of a dog it comes flooding back little things to let you know they are still around somewhere xx
