Labrador Rescue

Over last 9 months Balee has had few health problems, starting gastroenteritis which now seems to be under control but took about six months to clear up. He is being treated for a liver infection that showed up in a Blood test 2 months ago. This appeared to be clearing up and he had put a 1 kilo on, having told the vet he was licking everything, carpets, furniture, yesterday he took another blood test that covered everything. This showed up that there is a problem with part of his Liver still and that he was anemic he goes for an iron injection today followed by another on Friday and another next Monday followed by a vet visit a week on Thursday. When he will be having another blood test and arranging a liver scan.

Have to say as a Lab he has not lost his appetite.

So sorry to hear that Balee isn't well and sending him buckets full of positive and healing thoughts and I hope he is soon on the road to recovery. I hope the iron injections make Balee feel a bit better and will be thinking of you, Kath, as I know how worried you must be. Everything crossed here for Balee's liver scan next week.
