I know I maybe tempting fate with this one, but when was the last time we had any significant rain
it seems an age ago. If it carries on like this even my artificial grass will go brown...

We had a real downpour yesterday here - got wet when out with my 2 early yesterday morning (all waterproof gear needed) and then yesterday afternoon, there was a bit of thunder and a torrential downpour - but apart from filling the water butts, you wouldn't know today, as it's very warm again. Even had to water my summer bedding pots. I remember the summer of 1976 when they appointed a minister for drought - and then it rained non stop for days on end :1966:

We had quite a bit yesterday morning. Not enough to make much of a difference though. I'm amazed there has been no hose pipe ban yet!

We had a couple of hours yesterday, but today you wouldn't know it!

Before that I can't remember.

Would love to see a pic of the "gone brown" artificial grass - that really would be something to write home about!

Hi all, we have had a shower of rain today, but it is still quite humid.
When I took the girls out this morning, it was still nice and dry, so no need for a pile of towels and then the washer on.

No rain here (In the north of Northamptonshire) for absolutely ages and 30 degrees almost everyday. We had a phone call from our daughter in London yesterday after work she'd had to shelter from torrential rain that had flooded the streets, it went on for ages. She sent me a photo of her going up in the lift to her flat, she looked like she'd had a shower

I had to do my dog walk in pouring rain yesterday as we had rain and thunder for a day. It is generally nice not to have to dry dogs when it's nice and sunny but Rowley goes out for his morning toilet and always comes in soggy because he insists on rolling in the grass then wants to sit on settee for his cuddle.
