I often wonder about how Norrie is getting on, but don't want to sign up to Facebook. It would be great if someone who does follow Norrie's page could spare the time to post a very brief update now and again (not the Lab Rescue team, who have more than enough to do!).
Here's hoping!

As has been said, Norrie is doing well and writes regularly on his FB page. He is also highly talented in his computer skills and regularly posts pictures.

A huge breakthrough came recently when he jumped up to put his paws on a half-door to look over the top. It was the first time he had the strength in his back legs to do such a thing. Apparently his hoomans were crying and reaching for cameras!

Thanks for that, Jackie. I'm so pleased to hear that Norrie is doing so well - that's real progress
I'm not on Facebook either, so it's lovely to get an update now and then.
Thank you x

Thank you.....that sounds great!
I just like to limit the number of on-line places which have my details, but it's getting harder to find info in other ways!

Its not difficult really people are very welcome to post updates on our site about dogs helped by rescue or adopted or can simply be a much loved dog we love updates and pictures if its difficult for people to do this we / I am happy to help upload pictures or things like that it isn't a problem at all.

Hope this answers the query .

Thanks Glenys....I'm very happy to subscribe to the very welcoming Lab Rescue site (but will still steer clear of the social media ones).
I'm very pleased to hear that Norrie is doing well :1939:

Norrie is a friend on FB and he looks very well; he recently helped hi mum washing ducks and geese and they won some prizes - he likes other dogs coming to visit An update from 3rd August
"Great excitement this evening. I jumped up at the stable door and rested my front feet , this is the FIRST time I have had the strength in my back legs to do this and everyone one was so excited and grabbing phones and cameras and crying, what did I do? I jumped up?? Silly hoomans " and then yesterday said "I will no longer be updating about myself"

Hi - it's Stella who updated (Simbasmum confused you!) and I do believe we may still get updates - FB can be a real asset (In my case I have family in NZ, USA, Norway and Australia and so it keeps us all in contact with each other; however, as in life, you get those who would try and put a dampener on things (I think it happened on here) and in those instances it is better (IMHO) to ignore the hate minority and accept the love and support from the majority

I don't believe in hate its a wasted emotion that is why we love dogs so much and why we are united in that on here ..... this is a good site people are friendly and very welcome .
I am a believer that the written word can be misunderstood and often in this text, email world we live in where people do not pick up the phone actually speak things are mis interpreted.

Its good that people in other countries can follow the updates and are very welcome, all friends are welcome here.

I hope Norrie carries on updating he was a dog in great need he still is and he is loved and well cared for and has a family who love him that is all we ask for the dogs and we thank everyone who has taken on a dog from us.

I don't know the story behind Norrie, but from what I have gathered he had a pretty rough time to start with and now he has a good life. I think that is what we are all after for all our dogs so :bighug: to all of them and :bighug: to all the people who give them good homes, not forgetting the people that sometimes realise that for one reason or another their dogs would have a better life in a different home which when you love your dog must be very difficult :blue: so hugs and thank you to them for making the right decision
