Raehills, St Ann's, Dumfries

As we all have dogs and may want to take them with us... have you any suggestions for holdiay destinations etc that are dog friendly and where you had a great time?

Raehills, St Ann's, Dumfries

Post by Caron1970 »

Just returned from a week at the Auld Laundry cottage at Raehills. Sleeps 7 plus camp bed. They also have a smaller cottage available as well. Bikes & tennis court also available plus rural activities

Cottage / house is lovely, well equipped, log burner, lovely and warm and takes up to 3 dogs. Enclosed garden plus you can walk from the house straight into the house grounds or the surrounding woodland. Quiet cottage lane at the back of the house - 3 cars plus 1 tractor was the most we saw in one day. Pheasant, rabbits, hares and deer all out in abundance.

Lovely, quiet relaxing place. Sam & Harry have walked for miles and then spent the evenings lay by the fire. :2379: :2379: Would highly recommend but don't use Asda on line delivery as they failed to deliver and we had to go to Tesco instead !!!

Just had a look it looks lovely Caron, thanks for letting us all I have it bookmarked now as I am always on the lookout for good cottages that allow dogs. That area is also a nice distance from us.....think we will book a week next year.
