A delightful, mid terraced cottage, ideally located just 300 yards from the shore in the pretty fishing port of Amble.
At the end of the street is a dog-walk leading to Amble Links, named the UK's best dog friendly beach by Coast magazine in 2008. Amble has a colourful harbour with a variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants, whilst the new marina offers an array of nautical activity. Enjoy picturesque coastal walks
There are walks along the River Coquet to Warkworth and south past the harbour and Little Shore following the coastline to Hauxley with views of Coquet Island. There are nature reserves at Hauxley and Druridge Bay. Wide open spaces on The Braid adjacent to the marina and at Druridge Country Park with its lake, visitor centre, picnic areas and access to quiet sandy beaches.

Helen another one to try - not sure how many beds etc you need but I have used this company before for Cumbria and Yorkshire and they are usually pretty good. The search facility is good as you can easily pick dog friendly cottages/cottages with enclosed gardens etc.

Hope it helps.

thanks for all the info - will spend some quiet time browsing over the weekend. There would usually be 5 (humans) but our 2 eldest will be away on school trips so just me, mark and our youngest Alice (plus Oscar of course).
