I'm here

Hi all
I'm here. Sorry I haven't posted but there hasn't been a lot to tell. Mum and I have been walking and doing some training and I've been doing lots of sleeping. I'm afraid I've wrecked the pink ball on a rope Aunty Glenys gave me, I now have a ball and a rope just not both together.
I went to socialising class again this morning but it was all a bit much today and I haven't wanted to do anything this afternoon. I think mums been quite concerned about me because ive not wanted to leave my garden where I feel safe. I ventured into the kitchen this afternoon just as dad pressed the switch that ignites the gas hob and it made me jump so I didn't want to come back into the house. Mum says I'm doing well and I'm not to worry.
I have a new lead we are trying out tonight so I'd better go as we are off for a walk me, mum and dad
I promise to write again soon.

Mum says she's just had a thought. I hate bangs and cracks and someone has been out shooting this afternoon, she's wondering if that is unsettling me? Who knows. :2373:

Thank you for the update - sounds as though you're doing just fine - just take it one step at a time.

Aw bless her it must be such an ordeal for her, she wants to trust but she still has her memories and knows where she is safest. Have to say she looks great and she has come on so well in such a short time. Wonder if anyone has the CDs you can play as background noise for you to borrow. Not sure if they work but might be worth putting it on low so she can try to get used to these sorts of sounds. Maggie went through a funny time a few years ago with bangs in the house. Fine if she was out on the shoot, she would stand next to the gun it never bothered her but any bang in the house she would quake and want to be outside too. Even simple things like opening a bottle of fizzy wine, pulling a cracker would set her off. After lots of ignoring her behaviour and letting her be, she is fine now she even comes into the kitchen when we have a bottle of fizzy wine, she looks while it is being opened and once opened she gets a toy in her mouth and does the Labrador happy waggle :love2:

Anyway keep up the good work you are doing so well with her.

Hello Tasmin,

Please could you tell your Mum that I have one of those CDs Jackie mentioned. I have recorded it onto cassette for you, if your mum would like me to send it. I don't know how many folk still use cassettes these days :1966: .
I love your latest photo; you are such a beautiful girl. :love2: :love2:

Mum says we don't have a cassette player anymore. But thank you for the kind thought Inca and your mum. I'm feeling much brighter today.

Hi Carol,

When I took Coco to puppy classes the teacher told us to go on youtube type in fireworks/firework noises and just play them in the background. I suppose you could get all sorts of noises on there maybe.

Tasmin you are still as beautiful as ever :bighug: and :love4: for you

DAP might help you too Tasmin.
Either plug in or spray whichever suits you best. It will make you feel lovely and safe, just as you did when you had a furry mum instead of a human one. :love5:
