Tribute to Zak - Alife well lived ,and loved so much
Dear all at Lab Rescue
Just over 10 years ago I adopted a black lab boy called Charlie from you - he was the thinnest dog I had ever seen when I came with Michelle Elliott to see him. Oh boy! what an angel he was - the perfect boy. He didn’t know his name so I changed it to Zak He has been by my side these past 10 years giving love and joy with a tail that wagged just with varying speeds depending on the situation - he’s never been left and had holidays in Cornwall Devon Whitby and Scotland - he loved the beach and the sea!
I trained him - he learned quickly as he just wanted to please.
We found out last week he had anemia from a bleed from a tumour - I took him to the vets 3 times last week in an attempt to get him over this crisis - it didn’t work the cancer had a hold to wasn’t letting go.
I cannot log on to your site anymore but wanted to let you know that today he went to sleep for the last time. My vet came out to the house and he had a beautiful and dignified death We are heartbroken but I wanted to let you all know he has passed to the bridge and to thank you for allowing me to have this perfect and sweet angel sent from heaven to love everyone, everything and anything we did
My Zak- My Friend- My love Thank you for the joy we have had these last 10 years Yvonne
