Jack came to us nearly four years ago he was a working gundog the person who brought him in has been a few times since we made it known that we could find retirement homes for ex workers .
The person said and said and I quote "Its no good to us now It cant jump fences "
Jack was such a lovely boy we needed to find out why he was limping so Gina offered to foster him it was discovered his elbow was shattered when our Vet operated he showed us some fragments he had removed this poor boy had been continued to work with that terrible injury .

So Jacks journey began and the wonderful love story of Jack and Gina .
of course Gina kept him .

He went regular swimming had massage treatment I think called T Touch with Canine therapies Preston under the guidance of Anne Johnson our good friend and great supporter of rescue .

Jack was on so many medications in the latter years and sadly went to sleep Last Friday.

Jack could not have been loved more.... a far far cry from his previous life he must have had comfy beds are us on speed dial he had so many .
He was every inch a distinguished old gentleman and needless to say Gina is heartbroken to lose him.

I was able to say goodbye too on that sad day.

Thank you to Gina for his wonderful home, for taking him and and putting him together again thank you to the people who donated towards his big operation .

Night night Jack xxxx

So very sorry to read this post, we remember Jack’s story and the journey that him and Gina went through to get him free from pain :cry3:. Despite the life he had before he went to live with Gina he was such a gentle boy with such soulful eyes and couldn’t have found a more loving home where he was loved and cared for the latter years of his life.

Thinking of you Gina at this sad time and know how heartbroken you must be having to say night night to your beloved boy :love3:

Run free Gentlemen Jack, you’ll always be remembered :love2:

Loving healing thoughts for a broken heart. Memories of a special dog hurt but bring healing. The more we love the more hurt!

Love to Gina at this difficult time.
