Today we had unexpected visitors to the rescue they had called with a kind donation to rescue in honour of Mr Taft who sadly passed way in 2010.
The story goes that Mr Taft the father of Eddie and Father in law of June had just passed away it was Christmas Eve there was nowhere for his beloved Labrador Max to go everywhere was closed for Christmas then they heard about us and rang and were totally surprised when we said we could take Max in straightaway and they brought him in they said today they had never forgotten our kindness and help and as they had recently had a windfall their thoughts turned to that time they needed help and we were here for them all those years ago.
It was a very touching discussion today and quite overwhelming when they presented £750.00 to our rescue and reaffirmed our belief in human kindness both given and received it also proved that random acts of kindness happen too and that we must keep our rescue unique and carry on we don't close our gates at anytime to labrador who need us.
Thankyou Eddie and June Taft you made our day xxx
Thankyou also to all who support us and keep us going xxx

What a heartwarming story and such a kind gesture from Mr. and Mrs. Taft to benefit the rescue from their windfall in memory of their Father and Max.
