Bailey
Well as i hinted in a previous thread, i had decided the time was right to adopt my first girl labrador and Bailey fitted the bill. its a tough decision deciding what type of temperament will fit in best with your existing pack but i had a good idea. libby is 16, quincy is 10 and paddy is 5. all different energy levels and temperaments.
I walked down to the enclosed field at the farm with bailey, who pulled a little which is understandable, she had a little run about and seemed out of breath. whilst lacking basic training and doggy manners she seemed gentle enough so brought her home.
Its a week since shes been here and after initial signs of seperation anxiety she has settled well. shes a very busy dog, loves to swim and never stops running on a walk despite being show bred shes very eager to please and ball obsessed so despite not being walked or trained by herself, we have now got doggy manners, walking to heal, recall to whistle and wait all in place so very happy with her.
my other half took her and paddy out jogging round the country park yesterday for an hour with a swim break. it would appear show dogs can run
shes my 5th rescue dog and just what i wanted.

Re: bailey
I am so pleased to hear this Trevor and that she has not disappointed being show type .
I dont think Bailey had a lot of attention before she was just a great dog needing a great home
Looking forward to more updates .

Re: Bailey
I remember your little hint and the wonderful coincidence of MKF just happening to have a girlie that fitted your ideal description, right down to her tail
Congratulations!
Really pleased for you, Bailey sounds brilliant - blonde, clever and a show girl!!!
