Hello everyone,

I just wanted to pop a note to let you all know that Madison is doing extremely well and celebrated her 10th Birthday last Friday.

We adopted her in 2013 and I can not thank labrador rescue enough for allowing us to adopt this extremely beautiful and gentle girl. She makes us laugh every single day and is a very important part of our family.

We had a bit of a scare this time last year when she was diagnosed with mammary cancer. Being 9 years old we worried about such a major surgery but felt that she should be given a chance. Recovery went well but even though it was a rough few weeks for her it proved to be the right thing to do because it cured her and saved her life.

She continues to be very happy and has kept all her weight off (Remember she was extremely overweight when we first adopted her and she did very well with a good diet and exercise program and we saw the inner puppy emerge and that remains to this day lol).

Due to my health we haven't been on holiday for the past 2 years or so but the good thing is we are moving to the Highlands of Scotland soon and Madison will have the beach for a back garden!!

She has giant memory foam beds both upstairs and downstairs and you can see her pic in the pet gallery asleep with her daddy after a walk!!

Once again we thank Labrador rescue for allowing this girl to be part of our lives.

Much love to everyone
Angela xxxxxx

That's a lovely update about Madison. Pleased that she recovered from her illness and operation. How super that she's soon going to be living right next to the beach! Hope the new home makes up for missing holidays for a few years and that the move goes well. Good luck with your health. Thanks for posting the update, it's good to hear how the dogs and their families are getting along. The picture of her and her Dad is great.

What a lovely update :1951: I'm so pleased that Madison's surgery saved her life and that she's been able to enjoy a proper lab life, having fun while being loved and well cared for. It must have been so rewarding to see her personality develop as she lost weight and recovered from her op. The photo made me smile, they looked all walked out

Good luck with your move, it sounds idyllic to have the beach so close, you'll be on holiday everyday. I hope you, Madison and her dad have a very happy and healthy life in your new home.
