Rowley
As I read the post about Roly and his leg problems this last week I knew that my Rowley had been limping intermittently over a few days, usually late in the evening after resting. His appt with the vet ended up being Thursday also. He wasn't limping on the day because he'd not been out for a walk, the vet could feel/find some pain deep in his shoulders and his toes so he has metacam for 5 days, no walks, no play. Unfortunately as soon as she started examining him she found a hard lump in/on a pad. She did not want to leave it and take a biopsy she wants to get it off so he's booked in for next Thursday, I unfortunately couldn't go Monday. He may have x-rays for his shoulders etc while there. Maybe keep your fingers crossed for him, the boy who looks after mum.

Re: Rowley
Hilary I'm so sorry to read that Rowley is having shoulder and paw issues and I'm sending buckets of positive and healing thoughts to him for the coming week, especially Thursday. I hope your vet does take the X-rays while dear Rowley is out for the count as it may save him having to have another general anaesthetic if his shoulder doesn't improve with meds.
Everything here will be crossed on Thursday and I hope Rowley is soon back to normal and looking after his mum pain free.

Hello there,
sorry to hear about your lad Rowley. We know what a worry it is after our own Roly's problems lately. We will be thinking about you and will look out for an update next week.
Very best wishes from Steve, Carolyn and the other Roly. x

Re: Rowley ( Update)
Hi Folks
Thanks for all your good wishes for Rowley. The vet phoned 7pm last night to say they had an emergency and would not be able to take Rowley in for his op to remove lump on foot today. He is now due to go in Monday morning.
He has been good all week given he's not been for a walk since week yesterday. It has meant more grabbing and dashing, with oven gloves, slippers, boots etc., living up to his name of Rowley Rabscallion. He's now finished his course of metacam so took him out today for short walk.
Will post again when I have him home on Monday.
