Hello anyone there?

Post by Liz5353 »

Hello is anyone there? We are lonely with no one to talk to, so hello and hope you are all well.
All the lovely weather has gone here in the North East.
Thinking of you all

Hi Liz and big cuddles to your gorgeous girls. I know what you mean it's so quiet on here at the moment hopefully it's just the warm weather and that now it's cooling down a bit we may get to hear from people. It's a bit grey here at the moment but still 25 degrees we had some very heavy rain yesterday evening but none since.

How have your girls managed with the high temperature it's been 30 in north Northants and 34 near where my daughter lives in London - not the weather for a fur coat and paws on hot pavements. I think the beaches in Northumberland would have been great for an early morning or later evening walk and a quick Doggy dip in the sea :1951:

Still here

Still waiting for the secret to be revealed :snooze:

Been travelling up to the reservoir in the car with air conditioning at full blast, quick swim round, numbers one and two duly performed then back the same way.

I should mention the swim etc was performed by Molls Dolls.

Just hoping for a dry, not too warm a day for the dogs party.

Hope to see you all there.

Yes cooler here yesterday and today also.

Our routine has gone out of the window the last few weeks.

My beautiful goody two shoes Kinder has been naughty, f1 I have lost a tiny bit of confidence in her at the moment, her recall is fantastic whistle or shouting her name normally...... BUT a couple of weeks ago I let them both off as normal and Kinder spotted some swallows they swooped down as they do and it was like she was hypnotised she was chasing after them oblivious to my whistle and shouting her name, :2012: it was like she was focused on the swallows and that was it........ eventually after 2 large football fields she stopped (thankfully) as if she carried on I could of lost her. I kept her on her lead for a few days but we all know our labs need to run so I let her off again and she run after a pigeon :2012: luckily a lady was walking with a dog and Kinder thought the lady and her dog were more interesting. :2379: I have let her off again since but kept my eye out for birds. If it had been Coco I was talking about it would not of surprised me in the least as she has always been mischievous (naughty) is there a difference  Coco seems to be mellowing lately :1967: or have I spoke too soon :1968:

Oh Debbie that really made me laugh. Have to say though the swallows are so exciting as they stay low so long over the fields here, I was lucky George didn't go after them - just deer   The other thing that made me smile is imaging your face when Miss Goody Two Shoes didn't come back, it took me back to the first time George went off on The Quantocks he'd always been so reliable I could not believe it. Let's hope it's just a blip and she reverts back to her normal angelic state

I'm so glad, Lins, that you clarified who you were talking about in the above I was getting very worried that the heat had finally tipped you over the edge

Hello it's me again
I am pleased that you are all there and well.
From tomorrow we have the builders here, so I could be rather stressed, they could be here for a month!! I am hoping not, however the work had to be done,I am fed up with the bucket on the floor of the conservatory, 3 years of a leaking roof several tries at fixing it all have failed!! So we are having a slate roof and plastered ceiling, so all crossed that this will work.We live in a very quiet village, but I expect that the usual compulsive radio will arrive and we will all be subject to it.
So you may not hear from me for a day or two, wish me luck.
Speak soon

Hello again I have not been around a great deal recently, but the building work etc is almost but not quite finished.
The weather took a turn for the worse as we started so we had a delay straight away however we had to make the best of things.
Poor Molly has been in a flat spin almost all of the time, she does not take well to having workmen in or around her home, but as we are nearly there She does not mind the decorator. The other 3 girls love having workmen as they usually have food around or left overs in a rubbish bag!! One day Shelly and Polly were no where to be seen in part of the garden but they were sitting in the conservatory amidst wood shavings and plasterboard!!
I hope you are all well and enjoying some reasonable weather, it is dreadful here, and nice to be in touch again
