Five weeks ago I collapsed on the front step unable to breathe(ambulance called )result was 2 new heart valves& a by pass graft. When I returned from hospital Joe n,ever left my side.He had to be forced to go on a walk with my wife and even tried to push the district nurse out of the way.Yesterday I had to sit on a log in the woods,he was running with his friends, broke away from them & came to me & would not move until I did.At the moment sitting next to me with a very heavy head on my my knee.

There is nothing better than a dog for making you relax and recover quickly. Joe must have the same thought timeline as yourself and is looking after you. :bravo: :1972:

Pleased to hear that you are recovering after your heart op Geddes, and that you have a wonderful companion to watch over you. Joe sounds like a real treasure and there's nothing like sitting down stroking a gorgeous lab to help you relax as you heal.

Take care Geddes and enjoy your walks with your loyal boy.
