A sad story In Loving memory of Millie

Post by Glenys »

I received a very sad letter today initially was saying how through circumstances their daughter had to rehome her dogs her parents were able to have Millie the quieter one who had five happy years with the parents as their companion and the other one went to a new home through us and that family kept in touch with her too. and the became friends . this is the rest of the letter:

Sadly a few weeks ago My beloved Millie was attacked by a lose Stafford / cross and died instantly she was by my side on her lead it was a devastating experience . The other dog was destroyed and the owners have covered my costs in cremation Millie I did not want to make a financial gain from my loss and I urged them to make a donation to a dogs charity and have the enclosed sum is what they gave me.
My Daughter and I could think of no better place to donate in memory of Millie and our thanks go to for you rehoming Tessa
so well.
Carry on the good Work

Bill Griffin ( Donation of £70 received to help dogs in our care thank you so much for thinking of us at such a sad time

In loving memory of a beloved dog Millie loved companion and freind :cry

Oh, what a desperately sad story that is. Poor, poor Millie. How good of her family to think of rescue in that traumatic heartbreaking time and ask for a donation from the owners of the dog who attacked her. Millie, obviously a treasured girl, never to be forgotten.

What a horrible way to lose a dog, it is bad enough when it happens due to natural causes. Run free at the bridge Millie sweetheart.
