Time for a catch up

Post by Glenys »

Rescue has had a very busy start to the new year we have quite a few oldies in including three from one home who a had health problems one 8 years old was found to have had long term ear problems that had not been treated he has cauliflower ears caused Haematomas :
What happens if your dog does not have surgery? If a haematoma is left untreated the blood in the ear flap will separate into serum and a clot and will gradually be absorbed over a period of 10 days to 6 weeks. ... It also causes a deformity of the ear flap resulting in a "cauliflower ear" which may cause further problems.

This poor boy Obi had a severe ear infection so much so it has affected his hearing hopefully when the infection goes he will hear better he is a happy lad but wasnt happy in our car on the vet journey and caused chaos in the vets luckily people saw the funny side he was a good boy for the vet
Gini was passed as in good health just needs her ears treating .

Fudge has been found with a large lump on her bottom we only discovered this after a good triming and grooming she is on antibiotics but is due for investigations as her anal glads are impacted infected and no movement we are all hoping for the best as if its a tumour it will be difficult to remove .
She is such a happy girl hoping she is ok.

Gem is another older girl being fostered by Gina she is terrified of most things curtains closing door bell you name it poor Gina this week proved once again ( but no proof needed ) to have heart of pure Gold trying to get this little girl happy.

Our Vet bills this year already are ALMOST four thousand and its only February !!

Ive highlighted just a few dogs above but please be assured of our best effort as always to turn these and many more lives around and accept our grateful thanks to our supporters and volunteers who help us make it happen.

Blimey! Gina does it again. The 'A' Team never stop doing it and I never stop admiring you all for what you do and how you do it.

Thank you seems inadequate but, it is heartfelt. :love2: :love2: :love2: :bighug:

Totally agree with you Lins, I don't know how they do it, it's relentless. There's always another lab waiting in the wings needing tlc, medical care or help with the traumas it's endured and that's as well as all the ones who have loving owners but their circumstances have changed and they want the best for their pet so bring him/her to Glenys.

Thank you to everyone at Rescue, you all deserve medals. :bravo:

Hearts of gold, a truly amazing team who do not get enough recognition for the work they do.
