He certainly looks happy. I really do hope that something can be done for him. I'm sure there is and someone out there can and will offer him a forever home, I just wish it could be me.

Thank you Jenny for walking him he certainly is a happy boy at the moment a lot happier than he was.
I am fairly confident all will be ok given the right treatment and diet and a lovely home.

We have a home in the offing we just need to get his tests done and also want to offer some financial support to the new owner at leats till his condition is under control.
More news soon.

I'm not in the least bit surprised there has been an offer of a home. I'm sure there are dogs with a lot more difficult problems to handle, than a skin condition.
Sounds like he has a great life starting from here.........here's hoping!!

Busters skin has greatly improved and itching has almost stopped. My vet recommended
a natural food supplement - Phytopica - Expensive but well worth it. Available from Viovet without Rx from vet

I agree with you Marge, but I think that it's not so much about coping with a difficult problem, as such.
It's about an individual being able to afford the money to cope, if it turns out that regular medication is needed, as we all agree that can be really expensive.

Thanks for the tip Karen glad to know Buster is ok.

Sadly sam's new home has fallen through but we are hopeful another will come.

That is why we are trying to set up a fund to help any prospective owner of Sam, as a Rescue we would not expect someone to face this burden alone.
We run a similar scheme to help Charlie the diabetic dog his cheques this month have been just slightly under £100 but when the bills come we settle them in order to find Charlie the home he needed we had to do it.

Sam has now been to the vets and the "Yorktest" is now being sent off, this will take about 10 days before we get the full results.

He has now been put onto a hypoallergenic food,and has to stay on this and no treats for the next 10 weeks.He was good throughout it all and happily wagged his tail,he travels so well too in the car you just dont know he is there...

Food allergies are now becoming very common,but once you have found the allergen then you can work round them and the dog lives a normal life...this boy deserves a chance and a home that doesnt mind working around this problem,if you keep on top of them they are often no problem at all,so if you would like to offer this lad a new home, we would like to hear from you.

Sam will, if all goes well have a new home soon. There was a mix up with names and his potential new home hasnt actually fallen through - I am just waiting for a telephone call to find out
