Sam - a couple of pics

Hello Everyone,

Sam here :1954:

I'm doing fine, hope you all are.

My Mum's mate took some pics of me at the allotments, I was a bit camera shy though and wouldn't look up properly, but my Mum was anxious to post a couple of me, so that everyone could see that I am being well looked after.

Because I am dark, it is difficult to define my features, but I hope it shows you how happy I am, my tail is always wagging now, although in these pictures, I'm more interested in the different smells! :1968:

Mum said she'll get her camera and have a go with that and hopefully she'll catch me in a good pose !

My Mum is just going to give me a bath now, as I've started scratching again, but Mum has had a look and says that it's not too bad and she'll get it sorted for me.

Love to everyone,

Take care

Sam

He's a good boy, still nicking if he gets half a chance, but we can live with that and besides, we usually catch him in the act!

He's had his bath, it's very warm here today, so we did it outside, he didn't want to get in it at first, because it's a hard plastic paddling pool shaped like a boat and I think he wondered what it was !

Once we'd got him in it, he was fine and stood there as good as gold.

He's had his "good boy" biscuit and his cup of tea, he's all settled down again and snug, what we call "all canoochie"

He loves going over the allotments, you're not supposed to take dogs on there really, but John and I run the trading hut, so he's in there with us, in any case, the other plot-holders don't mind and he gets lots of fuss from them all.

We take Sam over there on Sunday mornings, whllst Benji (our collie cross) goes to sleep, for one thing it gives Benji a bit of time on his own and it means that Sam can't get up to mischief while we're not there!

Evening time, we take both of them over for a patrol, to make sure all the gates are locked etc.

He has got a lovely shine to his coat now, earlier on, I was reading through the old thread of when he first came into rescue and I was looking at his pictures and I said to John that he looks a completely different dog, his face is "softer" now (for want of a better word).

Almost like years of fretting and worry have melted away.

Bless his little heart. :love5:

Regards
Jill
