Oh that's sad for those in contact with the pups. There must be a reason it didn't survive.

How sad, sometimes these things happen for a reason and often Mother Nature has to do the right thing, run free little one :2039:

Sad news indeed, but as Jackie said, sometimes it's Mother Nature's way of dealing with things which could prove to be dreadful later on.

Yes a very sad day :2006: All the pups were fine first thing this morning then about 9am I noticed one of them wasn`t with the group feeding. She was still warm but unresponsive. :2003: I keep being reminded that these things happen but it doesn`t make it any easier. Gracie is being such a good Mum despite her age so hopefully the remaining 7 pups will continue to thrive. :love2:

I feel for you Carol, this is the unpleasant side of breeding, but one that inexperienced "breeders" don't give a thought to!

Keep up the good work.

Carol. What terribly sad news to read this morning.

When I rescued my French Lop Rabbit - Bree, I didnt know that she was pregnant - she was only a baby herself. She gave birth to 2 perfectly formed babies. They lived for a day - I was broken hearted but as previous messages have stated - its mother natures way and unfortunatley no matter how much or how hard we try to help its not always in our favour.

Best wishes
Jacqueline.
