Now that Gracies pups have their eyes open they are two weeks old tomorrow they will be given wormers as all pups are born with them and so as we dont know if their Mums were regurlarly wormed it is of vital importance if untreated worms can move into the gut and the danger is its fatal so very important they are given the syrup to expel them.

Up to now Gracie has done everything for them cleaning ,feeding and also cleaning up their poo This is all her natural maternal instinct but as they progress through this week maybe after next weekend they will learn to lap and eventually will be learning to eat food this will help Gracie too as demands on her are great luckily she has lots of milk.
So as Labrador puppies grow fast and as Carol said she has trimmed their little nails so they dont hurt too much for as they suckle they nead at Mums teats and can make her sore.
Its all so exciting now especially with internet as we watch the babies grow and develope their little individual characters.
We will now be putting into place an adoption application as well to prepare our list of people wanting to have a puppy but be warned these babes are only going to the best of homes as do all our dogs.

To be continued ....
