God love her! What a wee angel :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5:

I suppose it's a blessing that she has never known anything different. As John says, as long as she's happy and healthy in every other way, then she can live a happy life!

Thanks John, it is so easy to feel sorry for her, but you are so right, she seems to cope and importantly is happy.

Hoping all goes well with the op. :1973: :1973:

What a wonderful thing the vet did in firstly diagnosing Jets condition and then not to charge for the service.
Hope all goes well well when she has her op next week and then her new life can be begin with her new family. Thank you to Karen and family for being a brilliant foster family to her.

John hit the nail on the head saying she is used to the condition what we never know we never miss dogs are very adaptable we see that every day here.
We want to make her life as good as it can get for her and we are Lucky that Karen and Niel are patient and will give her all the time she needs but also we do need possibly a new home waiting in the wings ..... I am sure Jet will repay everyone with big love and hugs lots of people have taken her to their hearts and all donations are so gratefully received .
Sadly Today I had the News an old Friend and supporter had passed away and I think the family are asking also for or had started a small collection to help towards Jet so even in their grief they have taken her to their hearts.
Its amazing what can be achieved by the love of dogs.

Goodness poor lass has it all. At least she is very happy and as John says she will adapt. To be honest my two use their noses much more than their eyes, much to my amusement I have to say......they are often so busy with the smell that literally cannot see what is front of their eyes!

Big thanks to Karen for caring for her you really are an angel, how much is all the correction work going to cost and how is the fundraising going, do you have enough?

What a remarkable and generous gesture at such a sad time for them.

My thoughts go out to them. x

As for Jet, like everyone else, I am falling in love :love2:

This is so true, she is happy she can do most things that other "sighted" dogs can do, please don't feel sorry for her, everyone who has met her have completely fallen for her she is adorable so affectionate and loving. Went for our walk yesterday as usual and guess what I managed to take the camera with me so here are a couple of photo's for you.

Watch this space coming soon "jet" the movie, didn't realise that my camera could take videos until Alfie's dad (that's the cocker) pointed it out to me. So just waiting for it load onto photobucket then will post does it normally take so long.

With my new camera it takes forever to load videos on to photobucket. I think it's something to do with megapixels and HD. I have to keep an eye on it cos it switches to standby and I have to start all over again! Sorry if my terminology is wrong. :dontknow:

Lovely to see Jet being just another lab, she won't have known any different of course. It's easy to judge by what we see. Can't believe she has been cast aside, bless her. :love5:

Jet is now at home and if i must say no worse for wear after her operation but this doesn't surprise me as she had made herself extremely comfortable in the vets office, she has also spent the morning in the staff room being made a fuss of. I am sure Sue was reluctant to hand her over and it felt like ages waiting for the call to collect her.
The vet totally agrees with me that she has not met a more beautiful dog, her tempremant and nature is outstanding and still cannot beleive that someone has cared so well for her then to turn round and dump her. She has even been trying to persuade one of the other vets to take her home.

Her operation went well though, she has managed to sew her "third eye" back into place she was slightly worried that the posistion might block the pupil in her left eye but this seems to be fine. She looks a little bit different though but saying that her eyes are a little bit swollen so that will go down in a day or two.

She is now on antibiotics, painkillers and some more eye drops but this is just for the week, she will have to go back in 10 days time for a check up, then hopefully someone very special and it needs to be someone very special (this is my stipulation....sorry Glenys!!!) will come forward to love this little girl and in return you will get that love back a thousand fold.

Will keep you posted over the coming weeks on how she is doing.

I don't want to take any photos till her eyes are less swollen but I promise I will post some.
