He tries to! Not with me as I tell him to sit and stay but with Malc he takes liberties. The butter dish was in there the other day and Bob had both of his front paws on the door trying to get to it. :(

On this occasion he simply refused point blank to move out of the way so that I could empty it ....

We have the same situation when mum comes home from work.
Both Taffy and the cat watch mum and Poppy cat is first in the Que and verbal.
I will try and get a pic.

Yes she does try to help, and get a sneaky lick of the plates going in it. She got paid back a few weeks ago though her collar caught on one of the wire things on the bottom plate rack. She reversed away and the rack complete with plates etc came flying out of the dishwasher all over the kitchen floor :1966: :1966: The noise of crashing pots was unreal, she still looks but doesn't shove her head in as far. It was funny though scared her to death. Did laugh at Bob, Millie is just the same - just in case!
