The car ramp is working out well Gina.
It's taken a week or so to tempt Jet up the ramp but he follows Billy everywhere, so what I've done is to send Billy up the ramp first and then Jet, it's taken a while but I think they have got the idea now. The main problem is that Jets back legs are in very poor condition and it's a real struggle for him to walk up it, even with the ramp fully extended I have to give him some help.
I feel so sorry for him....it's as though we've got a young dog in an old dogs body !! He's such a loving personality, I wish we could have had him from being a puppy !!
And as for getting out .....well..
As soon as the hatch goes up Billy leaps out and I have to restrain Jet and help him down by supporting his back end. All Great Fun !!!!
I suppose eventually I'll have to have the ramp almost in place ready for when I open the hatch, but Yes... I would certainly recomend a ramp for someone whose having difficulties with an older dog !
Martin.
