Labrador Rescue

We all know our dogs are getting older but Maisie's white muzzle seems to have developed fairly quickly over the past few weeks without me really noticing!!!!
Here is a photo of the distinguished old lady taken today---she'l be 9 in March. She's on antibiotics for the next 5 days as she's had bad sickness and diarrhoea; the vet was saying it's rife in our local area at the moment



Not forgetting Annie, of course, whose white muzzle isn't nearly as prominent----but then, she's just a baby of nearly 6

White muzzle or not they are beautiful.

I suppose it is a little like my husbands Grey Beard that could be called a white muzzle

I hope Maisie is a lot better to day.

I think Maisie looks lovely with her white muzzle.

Nina started to develop a white muzzle at about two - just around the time Dylan arrived as a pesky pup!

Bonnie is also suddenly going very grey, she is a similar age to Maisie, but May. It doesn't seem five minutes since she was a dark gold youngster.

Couldn't love her any more than we do though could we?

Like to think Dave thinks the same about me............

Maisie is beautiful, but if she's feeling self-conscious I'll take her with me next time I get my roots sorted It's a shame we can't accept ageing as gracefully!

Hope she's picking up now and back to her old self soon

Thanks, everyone. Just as a postscript, Maisie obviously loves to share everything with Annie-----she has kindly shared her sickness and diarrhoea bug with her now, so it was back to the vet this morning with Annie, who got a very small steroid injection and a course of Metronidazole the same as Maisie!!
My purse in now £25 lighter:1967:

Maisie is now back to normal so hoping Annie doesn't reinfect her!!! There's only so much sharing I can cope with!!!!

Lovely pics Aileen - I hope Maisie and Annie are feeling better soon - I know your purse may be £25 lighter but if you had gone to our vets I can guarantee it would have been about £75 lighter

Oh my goodness! just shows how long its been since i seen them, missing my hugs lol, glad Maisie was so kind to share, bet if it was her dinner or a treat it would've been a very different story maybe they've collaborated and decided to start a new trend? the white muzzles aren't a sign of age, they're a fashion statement....
