Hello all,

Just a little photo that I took a few minutes ago of Madison asking for her tea lol. After her recent scare she is 100% recovered from her pyometra surgery and is fitter and healthier and more puppy like than ever before! Her fur has grown back too so no more bare belly bless her.

Hope you and your beautiful dogs are doing well xxxxx

Thank you all so much for your lovely replies. She will be 11 on the 12th May. I remember the day we collected her from rescue just over 5 years ago...

When she was brought to us I could have cried at the sight of her. She was massive! Here was a lass in big trouble. We took her to the field and she must have been so excited she rolled over onto her back and due to her weight she got stuck! But it was like she was grinning away, like she knew we were going to give her a home and she was going to be ok! We had to physically roll her back so that she could get up again bless her.

A diet of chappie and special biscuits, and a careful exercise plan with her daddy, gradually building up the amount of walking each week slowly helped her shed those pounds and she became fitter and fitter. It was a dream to see her personality emerge as she got more and more energy.

I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome so all the exercise is down to her daddy. I just provide the cuddles!

Another funny story..... the first week she came to us, her daddy took her for a walk over the field and she was so excited, to be off lead, it was as if shed never been off lead before! She dove straight into a large pool of thick, muddy water that was full of horse manure from the local stables. She came back home and if he’d have brought a cow back into the living room it wouldn't have smelled as bad! We couldnt bath her because she was new with us and we didnt want to scare her with that so soon. So we had to wait for her to dry, brush the dust off and spray her with dry shampoo!

Im going to be putting a video of her together soon. Ill be sure to post the link here for you all to see.

Lovely Lovely photo of Madison. I am so pleased for you that she is better now and doing well. Your tale of the "muddy" puddle made me laugh!
