Beloved William

Post by Glenys »

Isnt it strange how things happen? My lovely William who passed away some years ago and who was such a wonderful boy somehow manages to remind us when its his birthday.
The year he died I ordered a special Yellow rose from Fryers Roses (no relation) I ordered it in the August and it said that it would be delivered in time for planting anyway the rose duly arrived on Williams birthday.in November.
When we moved here we brought the bush with us but thinking it may not take as it was from our other garden and sure enough that was april and it bloomed at the appropriate time but stranger still in the november Sam came in and said there is a beautiful rose on Williams bush and sure enough it was around his birthday.
I was looking for a picture of something quite different today and found this lovely photo of him which I thought I had lost and guess what its around his birthday.
The picture shows the lovable boy who loved absoloutely everyone.

William

A Rose blooms in the garden now which always reminds us of
A handsome boy who shared our life and gave us so much love
A yellow rose for a yellow boy whose birthday is today
Always remembered every day in our special way.

I remember days when you were young, you would always help yourself
To anything within your reach or even on the shelf
Nothing was safe from this joyful Boy
From a table leg or a cuddly toy J

Then when you got old and grey a pleasure to behold
A handsome Gent so kind and soft a great big heart of gold
Then one day the angel came a took you up above
And we were left to grieve for you remembering you with love.

Rest in peace our Gentle lad
thank you for the time we had.

William was one of those once in a lifetime dogs he was so funny if you came to visit he would have to give you something a pillow a toy whatever if you had a sandwich he would drop a toy on your knee for a swap :) when I collected toys for our tombolas I got them from car boot sales I used to go every sunday and come back with loads he would steal a soft toy and put it in his bed in our bedroom we used to laugh he had so many toys in his bed sometimes he couldnt get in it.
he never destroyed them.
he was so special I still miss him a lot.

Gleny, Your photo of William reminds me so much of Pugsley who we lost in July this year very alike. Strangely enough our friends planted a Rose bush in his memory in our Garden and when we got our new lab Max in September three very large and beautiful roses appeared. I think he was sending a message of approval. Rona.
