BLAKEY HAS A NEW BED

Post by mollie »

Today Blakey has inherited a new bed. Some of you may have seen the posh basket in my 'BLAKEY AND HIS LADY FRIEND' photos - the one that his cousin Beattie Bassett sleeps in.
Beattie is my sisters' dog, and unfortunately over the past few days, Beattie has been diagnosed with arthritis in her lower back - but today the vet thinks she also has a slipped disc, as she can barely walk. At the moment she is sedated and on pain killers - so not a well girlie. Beatties Mum has decided that the bed is no longer suitable for Beattie due to the height of it, and as the bed was used for Beatties predecessor, Bruno, it is a much loved bed, and my sister is keen for it to stay in the family! So that is how Blakey has come to have a posh new bed. Sad circumstances, but we are waiting until Monday to see if Beattie can have surgery to sort her back. So all you good people out there, keep everything crossed for Beattie.
My sister is, however, delighted that Blakey likes his new bed...........

When I think of Blakey and how sad he was when he lost his home this posting posting has made my day.
he waited so patiently or his home and it was worth the wait.

I do hope Beattie is ok xxx

What a lovely bed - it wouldn't last 2 minutes with a certain yellow lab that lives here! Love the cat flap pic - my friend who has a choc lab is on her third cat flap and second back door as her lab doesn't realise it's not for her and she's tried to get through it on several occasions - one time she actually ripped the whole unit out of the back door - whoops!!

Best wishes for Beattie - hope she's feeling better soon.
