That's just what Kips is like. When we were down at Dom's mum's house over Easter there was a field vole charging about in the backyard - Kips was fascinated watching it through the glass in the door!!

Sometimes in Townley Park there is a lady who takes a ferret out - on a lead, Simba met it and just had a sniff but he was a big gentle boy anyway.
It seems bizarre walking a ferret when there are lots of dogs around but maybe if they actually come face to face with things they should chase they act differently.
We had a hedgehog in our garden at weekend, Lennox had a sniff and then wasnt interested but Molly kept going back for a look and a sniff, she was curious but I didnt feel she was threatening towards it
Not sure if I would trust your doggie with that bird though - is it your bird ?
