Rufus a Collie

These dogs are in need of a home but not with us in rescue.
This may be because we dont have room yet, the owners want to keep dog with them until home is found out because we are trying to help someone or rescue with a dog. Normal application and vetting procedures still apply to these dogs

Rufus a Collie

Post by Glenys » 10 Feb 2019, 16:07

Rufus is still with owner in Lancashire this is not one of our rescue dogs but he needs a nice home please read and all arrangements will be directly with owner :

About about Rufus by his current family :

He's eight and a half, neutered, micro chipped and has had a recent scale and polish, No other health issues.
He is a friendly and loving dog who loves to have attention. He's full of energy, who still enjoys long walks and goes out running regularly, and loves to play with balls, He has lived with cats but can be irritating to them, with a tendency to chase them if they run.
He would be ideal for an older person/ couple who are around the majority of the time, who don't have children around as he finds them stressful and can become intolerant.
He currently lives with another small dog, and generally gets on with dogs of his size and smaller generally, but he can find bigger dogs intimidating.
He has good recall and knows basic commands.
He isn't a scavenger or destructive in the house.
We love him, and don't want to say goodbye, but it's just not fair on him.

Obviously he's vaccinated, wormed but he hasn't had kennel cough

Also, he does tend to find groups of dogs a bit overwhelming - he gets overstimulated

He currently lives in Oswaldtwistle .
