Wednesday and thursday's blog....

Post by Ablineth »

What a hectic 2 days we have had, yesterday ( wednesday) saw us once again in a poultry tent getting ready for the Denbigh and Flint show, so we closed all the flaps whilst we got pens etc ready and Peppa had the time of her life playing with one of my junior stewards, they played chase and fetch (Dan was doing most of the fetching) and tuggy and then Peppa just fell asleep on the grass--no washing involved fantastic  we were on the show field most of the day and she was truly amazing. I took her in the car for a guided tour of the showground and we stopped for her to meet some cattle that had just arrived and a quick call at the office for the ladies to fuss her again. Then home to wash birds which Peppa thought was most strange putting a duck in her bath.

So today (thursday) and early start --4.30am--Peppa was still fast asleep when I got up and most bleary eyed at being thrown outside at time of the day :1001: birds to get ready and the car to load.
Once again everything has to fit in around her crate.
Peppa has had the most amazing time at the show, we have the egg tables in a large square and in the centre we have our " hospitality area" sounds frightfully grand but in reality it is somewhere to boil a kettle and sit and have a sandwich  this area today belonged to Peppa who fussed people and played and fell asleep and had a roast beef lunch and when the wind blew all the egg plates flying had a great time chasing paper plates. Thanks to Paddy for amusing her all day and to William for playing with her and giving her so much fun and love.

Once again rescue details were handed out to lots of people who all oohed and aahed over her especially when she was so cute and asleep in her crate.
One lady wanted to know why dogs were not allowed in the tent but Peppa was and so I said she was in training to be a specialist poultry dog

I had to go and collect the prize money to hand out and so carried her over to the cash office where she met the ladies and gentlemen there and then a ride back on a mule through a packed showground.

At the end we had to load everything into my car and once again pack it all around her crate.

So here we are home again, the washing machine is on with a bumper load of vet bed the towels are next load and just think on Saturday we do it all again :1001:

Peppa will be the best travelled dog in North Wales as she will have done 3 shows in 5 days this week.

Defintely wine o'clock then vet bed to dry and the towels to wash.

Ky and Peppa the sleepy puppy.
