Such fantastic news - I was so worried about logging on today and dreading seeing he had not eaten again.

I know it may sound mad because we know he has not eaten because he has been ill but I would also try another bowl as I have had this with Molly once or twice when she has been poorly and then interested in the food and when her dish goes down she walks away - in another bowl she will eat it - worth a try.

Thanks for all you are doing for this special boy - I agree he is very special indeed :love5:

Continuing healing and positive thoughts.

Love Michelle X

Ky I am so glad he has had a little to eat, a little but often, but we really do not need to tell you what to do. This has just been a little hiccup. Not pleasant but I am sure In your care he will continue to progress yet again.

:bighug: 's for Norrie

:love3: :love3: for you all

Good boy Norrie, I am so relieved and have been dreading seeing more bad news.

Thank you Ky and family for taking such good care of him, I think you deserve a holiday after all this!!

Lets hope he continues to improve and this was just a hiccup.

Oh Ky, what a relief! You must be over the moon that Norrie has eaten, even if it's a tiny amount. You're a marvel to go to so much trouble, you must be exhausted.

I did wonder, reading one of your earlier posts where you said he was sometimes interested till you put the food down, whether the poor little boy has some additional problem that means it sometimes hurts when he eats. Even something basic like a troublesome tooth which the vet might not have seen as Norrie had such serious problems to be looked at. Poor dog, but he's lucky to have you to cherish him,

Sending hugs and healing thoughts,

Joan

Dear Ky, I can almost smell your cooking from here :1967:

It's great news that Norrie is home and eating, albeit a small amount. What a nightmare few days youv'e had. I respect you for going that extra mile. Nay, scrub that, make it extra marathon.

Come on little Norrie, keep eating not only your own sake, but for Ky and Geoff's as well. :love3: :love3:

HI KY,
Just a thought have you tried raiseing his bowl?.
He may have some problem dropping his head to the bowl.

Just what I was wondering....
We considered buying one of those special raised bowls for Skye when she got old, but they do seem a good idea for aiding eating and digestion in any dog. They are widely available.
Hope things continue to improve, little by little

yes, I had that with Shiva's bowl - he went off his food so I used a different one and it is a little higher, so maybe?
