An update on Norrie

Post by Glenys »

Further update on Norrie from Ky thank you for his 100 days heres to another.......

Thought you might like to hear how the lad is going on.

His weight is still stable at 23.5 kilos and where as I would like a
little more on as a safety net if that is where it holds fine.

This milder weather is s o suiting him better and sometimes now but
not always he can manage the 3 steps up onto the path and the drive.

Eating wise, touch wood, he is doing well. I have figured out the
optimum temperature of his food and that seems to make it go down so much easier.
He is playful but in a very sad pathetic way and bless my lot for the
gentle ways they play with him as it is so sad he will never join in
their racing around and chasing balls.

He is so bonded to me so much so that when I leave the kitchen he lies
behind the door whimpering till I come back( or so Geoff tells me) and
when I pick up my car keys yes he is outside ready to see where we are going.
He had 2 wonderful days on the showground when we had our maintenance
days, he met so many people all of whom loved him.

We cannot believe he has now been here over 100 days, we are
interested to see what the next 100 days brings.

Ky and Norrie x

I was only thinking of little Norrie this morning and wondering how he was getting on. Thank goodness he seems stable and happy.

It's become a habit to check the special stories section for an update on Norrie so its great to find one!

It's great to hear that he's doing so well and I hope in time he will be strong enough to join in the chasing games.

Here's to the next 100 days! :love5:
