Buster ( black ) update

Supported dog Buster who is in foster /twilight home thank you Jane for your care of him.

This bill will be covered by our fund

Hi Glenys

Just to update you on Buster.

He had his operation last Friday- all went well they removed the fatty lump and wart on his leg and while he was under it seemed sensible to remove the lump on his side as well, to reduce the risk of him having to be put under again as he will be about 11 years old now.

He did get a little dehydrated so they needed to give him extra fluids.

The wounds are not insignificant -he has 15 staples in his leg and 8 on his side.

Unfortunately yesterday the leg wound started to weep and at his check last night there was a little bit of infection, so he has started a course of antibiotics and the initial lead only exercise has had to be cut out ad the leg wound is around the knee, so the movement may have contributed to the problem.

The vet has been great and said if all patients were like Buster their life would be so much easier as he lies very still while they do everything they need. Last night they cleaned the wound and put 2 extra staples in and he didn't bat a eye.

I have attached the last few invoices we have had. One is for his on-going epilepsy meds -we have still seen no fits since the twice a day dose was started, which is great. (£24.45)

There is an invoice for the lump testing to see if removal was needed. (£97.20)

The operation was hefty. (£525.85)

And the anti biotics last night (£39.05).

I know the rescue has covered the cost of his epilepsy meds to date, any help you can offer with the other procedures would be much appreciated.

Regards

Jane
