Hello help please
I’m not very computer savvy . We are Annette and Tony and live in the Wrexham area ,we lost our lovely choc lab 9 months ago leaving us with our bright as a button Seren a springer / lab cross . We both feel we are ready to have a new mate for Seren and us.
I have filled a form in on line stating our living circumstances ( did this 18/12 ) hopefully I’ve done it right ,waiting on a reply. Can someone please explain the procedures to me thanks Annette

Hello Annette and Tony, welcome to this friendly site.
Its wonderful that you are considering adopting a new mate for Seren after losing your choc lab whom I'm sure you still miss.
The procedure is that after filling in the online form you will be contacted by one of the homing coodinators to discuss your situation so that you can be paired with a suitable new friend. You must bear in mind that the rescue is run entirely by volunteers who have their own family commitments and are particularly busy at this time of year so a little patience is needed but believe me it is worth it in the long run.
Once again welcome and I hope that the doggy shaped gap in your lives is soon filled.
Best wishes for Xmas and I hope that your new year is filled with an extra set of muddy paws.
Regards, Paul and Skye

Re: Hello help please
Hello Annette and Tony and welcome to the Rescue Forum. Sorry to read of the loss of your beloved lab it's heart breaking when they leave us. I'm pleased that you are now feeling ready to adopt a lab for you and Seren to enjoy.
Glenys and her team are excellent at matching the right dog with the right owner but this is a very small team of volunteers and a VERY busy Rescue, Glenys does not always get the time she needs to monitor all the posts on the Forum. You could try ringing the Rescue, the numbers are on this site but again you do need to be patient as the team are not only helping to run the rescue but all have families and dogs of their own to look after too.
It is definitely worth the wait though, I have been a supporter of the rescue for about 10 years and I adopted my lab, George, as a 10 month old and he grew up to be my one dog in a million, I would not have found him without this rescue. Unfortunately he died suddenly of cancer aged 8 yrs about 12 months ago and I have nothing but praise for this well run rescue. This time of year is usually an even busier time for the Rescue so try to be patient, try them on the phone but rest assured that gorgeous labs are coming in to Rescue all the time.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Re: Hello help please
Hello again Annette and Tony - I've just seen on Facebook that Glenys and her team are having to coordinate the urgent rescue of 20 dogs all from the same place over the next few days, which is the largest single rescue ever. I don't think you will hear from them yet as this must be a nightmare to organise.
I don't know if you are on the Facebook Lab Rescue site as well but just thought I would update you in case you're not.
