Labrador Rescue

Hello everybody we are looking for a lab to join our family and would ideally really love to take one that has sadly found themselves without a home. Ive filled my application form out a couple of weeks ago and was just wondering normally how long it takes for us to know wether our form passes the criteria and sends on our way to the next stage?.

Hello and welcome to this very friendly Forum. As you probably know the Rescue is run by Glenys and her volunteers and I would imagine that this is a very busy time for them as the Newsletters, raffle tickets and Rescue calendars are being distributed in readiness for the annual Christmas fund raising period, plus all the normal busy Running of the Rescue. If I were you I would either ring or email Glenys, Gina or Carol so you can make sure your application has been received and is being assessed. The waiting is the worst part but everyone of the volunteers and Glenys herself have to fit in their own family life and dogs around the Rescue so it's very full on for them, so please be patient it will be worth it. Glenys always has gorgeous dogs coming in to the Rescue and once you've been approved you can ring in as soon as you see a dog you like.
