We recently lost our beloved Labrador after 13 years. The hole in our lives is at times unbearable. We will probably look to get another Labrador in the future but it is too painful at the moment.

So sorry to hear of your loss David. Time is a great healer and I'm sure when the 'time' is right, you will fill that hole in your heart and the emptiness in your stomach. A rescue lab will do the job nicely. You will remember your lost one with fond memories eventually. Most of us on here have been there and know what you are going through.

Totally understand I lost one of ours in January and still find it very hard. I have her half sister too which has helped me through the dark days but doesn't take away the pain.

So sorry for your loss David, I remember well how very difficult a time it must be for you and your family right now. Hang on in there, although your friend will always in your heart the pain does ease and you will be able to remember the good times, the antics and adventures together with a smile.

Hello David we are so sorry for your loss, it is a very difficult time.
It is hard to take another dog but I have always found that it helps.
