Update on Rosie !
Rosie is coming along very well, she has 4 meals a day at present, consisting of a special dietary food, reducing to 3 meals on Tuesday. She is very very hungry and greedy, which isn't surprising since the poor little dog has been starved.
She's also been starved of affection, she barges Lady out of the way to get more cuddles but she's not tried it on with Billy yet. Lady has warned her a couple of times but nothing serious.
We are giving her plenty of love and attention and I think she is just about feeling comfortable in her new environment. She loves the garden, and can't wait to go out.
I don't think she's been out on a lead for a long long time, but she behaved quite well when running free with Billy and Lady.
Whilst I was brushing her , which she likes, I found some damage to the end of her tail. I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to what's happened to her but I'm sure the vet will soon tell me.
As I said previously, we see the vet again on the 5th March to see if she's gained enough strength and weight to be able to withstand her eye operation. He won't operate until it's safe to do so.
So... Rosie is doing fine at the moment. It's a waiting game regarding her putting on weight, but I'm confident that she will come on in leaps and bounds now that she is having everything a dog could wish for !!
More updates soon !
