:hello2:
Not been on the site for ages, with different things happening ie no PC, thought I would let you all know that Alfie is doing well, his weight loss is good, looking slimmer more by exercise than diet which we also watch as he can get a bit greedy, in true Labrador style. He goes to dog training school not that he needs it but he jumps in the car when we take Bella (she needs it) he likes to mix with the other and is now a well loved dog by all the members.
When we first got Alfie at christmas time he could not walk very far without his paws hurting or getting out of breath, well now Alfie's energy levels are very high can walk long distances and is in very good health. He goes swimming at least once a week this is Alfie's choice (he see water and he is in) he is a fantastic swimmer, we walk round the edge of the lake and he swims round. :1968: I will add pictures when i can remember how to do it.

Hope everyone is fine and dandy and all the dogs who have new homes are having wonderful times

x46 Hi Everyone, What a year it as been for me in my new home with Julie & Richard. I have lost weight toned up with all the exercise I get, we go off for weekends walking what ever the weather and of course I have cost them a fortune in balls and Piggie ears.
Julie does a lot of power walking for the Charity Walk the Walk Breast Cancer, so next year Bella & I will be helping her fund raise and now my weight has been reduced I will be able to keep up with her x13

So I hope all the lovely doggies in kennels find lovely homes (just like I did)

Happy Christmas to you all and a wonderful New Year :s10:

Hi to all,
:2093: Just to let you know Alfie is doing very well he as been with us for 2 years and loving every minute with him, he will be 10 years old in February but he acts like a 5 year old.
:blue: But on a very sad note Bella our other Black Lab that we have had since a puppy died 2 weeks ago, she was only 2 and a half, every thing was done for her that could be done. The vet says he thinks she was probably born with Renal failure and her immune system was attacking her own body. Bella had 2 blood transfusions to try to help her recover with the aid of medication, Ultra sound scans and x rays where taken just to make doubly sure we were not missing anything, but in the end her kidneys where so damaged we had to make the choice and not let her suffer anymore, Bella was not in any pain just weak and tired.
Today I picked her ashes up and she will be laid to rest in the garden she loved so much..
I can tell Alfie is missing her especially on a night when the house is quiet. I have put my name down to adopt again, when the time is right or I may even foster. Sorry for the sad news but just had to talk about it Thank you Julie xx
