Ted - Update
Hi Folks
Life is so busy, hardly have time to put paw to keyboard.
In my last post I asked if anyone knows what a Munroe is – well I found out what they are when we went on holiday in August to Perthshire and now I only have another 283 to climb. Two big mountain days with my Dad, we went miles but I had to show him who is the fittest. I didn’t see him chasing rabbits at the end of the walk or going for a swim in the burn.
I have posted a few pictures of my holiday including at the top of Loch Nagar.
Since then I have been to the seaside, went with Dad as he had work to do over on the East Coast of Yorkshire. I didn’t see him doing much work, but people he saw have four rescue dogs and we all went for a walk on the beach. It was just crazy chasing each other through the sea. I slept all the way home.
Two weeks ago we had 7 days down in the Cotswolds, long walk each day. It was very muddy, I have posted a picture which shows my go faster mud stripes, Dad say that it is just designer mud for the Chelsea image. I showed him though when I kept running past splattering him.
I loved chasing the Pheasants, there were so many everywhere, they needed stirring up a bit, big stupid things.
Got to dash
Love to all at MKF.
Ted
Notes from Ted’s Dad
Four months on and it seems as though Ted has been with us for ever, he is just such a lovely lad. He has settled so well that we cannot think of a time without him being with us.
I was really proud of Ted when we went on a Marsden Moor National Trust organised 10 mile walk. Ted walked off the lead the whole way except for 300 yards on a road, the walk included through numerous areas with sheep close by and Ted showed no interest in them at all. The organisers we very impressed. It gave me the opportunity of once again explaining how good rescue dogs are and can be with care, time and plenty of exercise.
Ted now shows a lot of confidence in his new home, a short while ago our friend offered to take Ted out for a long walk and to sleep over (with the two ladies pictured) as we had a family event to go to mid-afternoon. On calling to collect Ted, off he set with his tail at super wag speed and no anxious look back. (He had a far better time than we did!)
Ted’s love of water continues, his swimming has improved tremendously. At first he used to flay around with his front paws, now it is all speed and power. Any opportunity he looks for permission and he is in, even now when it is cold.
