A very high recommendation for Labrador Rescue

Hi!
To anyone thinking of adopting a dog from Labrador Rescue
We adopted Millie (was Vicky), a very timid 9m old black lab x staffie from Labrador Rescue in September 2011 and we have delighted in watching her grow from an abused, scared, skinny pup into a wonderfully affectionate, bright and cheeky girl. This September we decided we wanted to offer another rescue lab a home, having discussed it for several months before making a decision to approach Labrador Rescue again. We were concerned whether introducing another dog may make Millie regress somewhat, and wondered whether a dog or another bitch would be the best for Millie.
The right pairing was obviously extremely important for the dogs' well-being and we were willing to wait for a suitable dog to become available. Glenys and Gina were great, allaying our fears and assuring us that getting the right pairing with other dogs was just as important to them as finding the right owners for each and every dog they rescue.
A very handsome 2yr old black lab became available, so we took Millie along and she and Harvey were great together from the off - 'a match made in Heaven', as Glenys put it! Millie immediately accepted Harvey into her life and her home, and in the weeks since we adopted him they have become firm friends and have lots of fun together.
We wanted to say a very heart-felt thank you to Glenys, Gina, Carol Ky and team for their devotion to re-homing these wonderful dogs who sadly, through no fault of their own, find themselves in need of another forever home.
Thank you - keep up the good work!
